Summary:  

·    Create detail and assembly drawings from Solidworks part and assembly files.

·   Develop complete and comprehensive drawing packages.

·   Manage bills of material.

·   Update and maintain current CAD Designs.

·   Order purchased and machined components in support of project engineers.

·   Work closely with our in-house machine shop on drawing/part issues.

·   Perform other duties as assigned.

·   This position will also involve design tasks based upon candidate skill level.

·   This position is intended to be a stepping stone with increasing responsibilities up to and including design engineer as skills are enhanced over time.

Position Requirements:

§       Education - Associates degree preferred.

§      A working knowledge of common machine shop techniques.

§      Must have a thorough knowledge of drafting principles per ANSI-Y14.5 and MIL-STD-100.

§      Must have two (2) years minimum experience with Solid Works 2005 or later. Knowledge of Cadkey a plus.

§      Must be capable taking direction from project engineers.

§         Demonstrated ability to complete projects to schedule and within budget.

§         The successful candidate will show a track-record of drafting-to-schedule.

§         Ability to work well cross-functionally and in a team environment is crucial.

§         Prior industry knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments is a plus.

§         Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills.
